After many months of disappearing from the internet, our site and blog is back. We got so busy with real life that we didn’t notice our domain/site/blog had disappeared from the online world. So, when enough people mentioned it and a few other emergencies came and went, I found the time to try and re-create the whole thing all over again.
I think the site disappeared around late 2007 or early 2008. Since then, our kids have grown older and our challenges continue. If you are reading about our family for the first time, you should know that we spend all our free time trying to educate the world about little people and the ways in which we survive, succeed, and celebrate life.
Little People of America and the Dwarf Athletic Association of America are the two support groups that really give us what we need, and they need all of your support as well. Without them, we wouldn’t be here, the TV show wouldn’t have happened, and the kids wouldn’t have a bright future. So, if you are one of those visitors that is amazed by our family and wants to help us make a difference in the world, please make a charitable donation to Little People of America (www.lpaonline.org) or Dwarf Athletic Association of America (www.daaa.org)
You will notice the DAAA site is ancient with very little updated content and information. That’s why they need help ! DAAA has received a challenge grant from a family foundation that doubles your gift through the end of 2008, so please give now and give generously because your contribution is doubled ! DAAA ensures dwarf kids and adults have the same opportunities average-sized people do in recreational sports. We get together once a year to compete on a level-playing field in soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and field, swimming, boccia ball and more. This is the only time dwarf kids and adults can ever compete on a level playing field with others. This is the only time they are not told “you can’t play because you’re too small”. This is the only time they are given the opportunity to enjoy the sports they love just as much as their average-sized peers.
Some of our DAAA athletes have represented our country in the World Dwarf Games for the past few years and brought home medals, just like the Olympics ! In addition, several of our athletes have participated in the Paralympics over the years and want to do so again. Buut without the support of DAAA, these kids and adults won’t have the opportunity to do so in the future.
$100 gives a dwarf child or adult the chance to attend a single National Games event to compete in recreational sports
Sponsor 2 dwarf kids or adults for $200
Sponsor 5 dwarf kids or adults for $500
$1000 gives a dwarf child or adult the chance to attend a single World Dwarf Games event, to represent their country and compete with elite dwarf athletes from around the world. The next World Dwarf Games takes place in summer 2009 in Northern Ireland.
$5000 gives DAAA the ability to send coaches and sports technical directors to support the athletes from their country.
$10000 gives DAAA the ability to hire a consultant or grant writer to help them apply for financial aid at a much larger scale than the passing the hat activities we do now.

I watched your show on TLC tonight and was very touched. I am an adoptive mom, and once worked with children who have autism. I was so into the dynamic between Dasha and her Mom, I forgot the show was about LP’s!!
I would love to see more of you on TLC or anywhere else.

I would like to see a series about the Foos Family. It is very interesting and entertaining. I loved their values and the way they interact with each other and other people.
I am enjoying the series on the Foos family and have noted such improvement in Dasha- she is outgoing now and a pleasant little lady. Hope you keep up the series even though it must be an invasion on your privacy, but we are truly interested in how the children are becoming teen agers and later adults. Hopefully, like the adults, the children will later marry and have a family and we would like to wish them all much happiness and love throughout their lives. Please keep the series going. Jan
